From bow to stern, this ship crafted from Maple is packed with features and details. Starting at the front, the hangar bay doors, made from Bloodwood, can be slid open to reveal the Walnut-floored hangar bay underneath. When they are slid closed again, a pair of magnets holds either side in place. A set of insignias are inlayed beside the hangar bay made from Bloodwood and Orange Osage and lit by an LED (batteries included). As you work you way back, hand-turned/carved turrets line either side of the central tower until you reach the strips of Bloodwood inlays on the rear "wings" of the ship. Driving the ship forward are a set of 8 boosters which have been individually hand-turned and highlighted with blue resin inlays inside. Along the side of the ship, you'll find another hangar bay, this one with a shield covering it made from blue resin and this one is lit from inside by a blue LED (batteries included). The battery pack can be accessed from underneath by unscrewing the panel behind the switch itself. The entire ship is supported by acrylic rods that feed down into the Coruscant-themed base below. The base is made from an old growth Redwood burl which could be upwards of 1000 years old and has been carved and decorated with sprawling lines of yellow resin.
This behemoth reaches 22.5" in length with a wingspan of 11.5". When set on the base, the model stands 11" tall. No assembly is required (I did that part...)
