The legs are fixed in place to prevent collapse but the head can be full removed allowing for it to swivel freely and be set in any direction desired. A set of screws is included which must be threaded into the feet from the underside of the base to prevent it from falling over.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe base itself is carved from a large slab of Walnut with a footprint of approximately 12\"x18\". A handful of resin puddles dot the surface as well as hand-carved\/textured logs and stumps. An arrangement of plants and ground cover bring life to the environment. Two storm troopers can be seen defending the walker and they have both been 3-D printed and hand-painted in house. A downed trooper's helmet sits on the slope and an Ewok's hand-carved slingshot is also visible. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCarver's Note: This piece tested my patience on a whole new level. Taking the time to ensure that each segment of the leg would meet up perfectly with the next to allow the entire thing to come together and more surprisingly, stand on its own! (although allowing it to stand without the screws underneath to secure it is NOT recommended). At least 50-60 hours have been sunk into this project resulting in (and I know I say this every time) what I believe to be my greatest creation yet.
