This is a hybrid version of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber. The wood/resin combination gives this piece a natural/rugged appearance. The wood itself is part of a Redwood burl which had voids filled with a vibrant green resin. The "activator plate" is made from a Camphor burl topped with a Black Wenge strip. The entire hilt was hand-turned and hand-carved. The lightsaber seems to float over a swamp-inspired base (some might say Dagobah?) with murky green water and an animal skull. (Important to note that not all elements incorporated in this piece are "from the movies" but instead show a unique twist on a classic design!)
